Ahlam Omar

Paralegal

Ahlam studied her undergraduate law degree at City, University of London, where she developed a passion for criminal law and was awarded The City Law School Prize for Outstanding Performance in Criminal Law.

Prior to joining the firm, Ahlam worked for Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) as a case administrator where she was based within a Young Offender’s Institution. In her role, Ahlam conducted sentence calculations, created licences on behalf of the Secretary of State, oversaw applications for Home Detention Curfew and compiled dossiers for the Parole Board. During her time with HMPPS, she completed and passed the Advanced Sentence Calculation course.

Ahlam is now based with the Extradition team, where she prepares extradition proceedings in the magistrates’ court and high court with the supervision of Giovanna Fiorentino. She is currently completing her Legal Practice Course combined with a Master’s in Professional Legal Practice.
