Unlawful advertising - prosecution avoided

Are you having trouble marketing your business? From A-boards to shop-fronts and Hoardings, failing to comply with Planning Laws on advertising could end in a prosecution and a criminal record. It is best to have a dialogue with the local authority but sometimes things go wrong.

Our client was called in for a Pre-Prosecution Interview after he breached local planning legislation and failed to comply with sufficient speed to various requests to take down or modify advertising.

We were able to take over the discussion, liaise with all parties and advise our client on immediate steps he should take to mitigate the problem. We attended with our client for the interview and ensured that the right strategy was adopted, explaining the circumstances and current intentions with a view to solving the problem. After the interview we agreed a best course of action and points of contact with a view to a solution that would allow the business to thrive.
