Five not guilty verdicts in one day!

Lansbury Worthington secures five not guilty verdicts in five separate cases before five different courts within five hours of each other!

We will provide fuller details in due course, but for the time being here is a flavour of a very successful day indeed for Lansbury Worthington clients.


R v PRV - August 2014

William Paynter secured a unanimous not guilty verdict for a client charged with two counts of historic rape before Snaresbrook Crown Court.


R v M - August 2014

James Kelly has forced the prosecution into offering no evidence for this client charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm before Kingston Crown Court by arguing that key pieces of prosecution evidence were inadmissible.


R v N - August 2014

Becky Gay and Nick Ham of Dyers Chambers have achieved a not guilty result for this client on trial for a serious allegation of causing grievous bodily harm with intent before Isleworth Crown Court.


R v E-F - August 2014

Meanwhile at Ealing Magistrates’ Court Nick Leamy secured a not guilty verdict for a client on trial for an allegation of assault.


R v T - August 2014

This client on trial at the City of London Magistrates’ Court was found not guilty of common assault after James Chaplin successfully argued that the trial should proceed when the prosecution lacked key pieces of evidence. This forced the prosecution to offer no evidence against the client and ensured his acquittal.
