In a legal first, Lansbury Worthington’s Extradition Team has successfully challenged the decision of a District Judge to impose costs in an extradition case.

Following a lengthy hearing at the High Court on the 15^th May before King J, who dismissed the Appellant’s appeal under Article 8, the costs order imposed at first instance was varied from £500 to £100. Judgement has been reserved on the issue of costs jurisdiction in statutory appeals.
