Thuraya came to Lansbury Worthington for a few weeks work experience in 2008. Her hard work and dedication to the job were quickly recognised and the firm wasted no time in offering her full time employment. With a quick mind and her feet firmly on the ground Thuraya ensures that no stone is left unturned when representing her clients. Thuraya was born in the local area, completing her law degree at the University of Westminster and LPC at BPP Law School in London.
She deals with all aspects of criminal proceedings starting from the police station through to magistrates' court work, as well as preparation of serious crown court cases, appeals and confiscation proceedings. She also assists in the personal injury department where she is increasing her workload.
She qualifies as a solicitor in January 2012 and is currently studying to obtain her advocacy higher rights at BPP Law School alongside her Professional Skills Course.
Thuraya speaks fluent Arabic. She volunteers for Liberty and translates in Arabic for the BPP Law Pro Bono Unit.
