Solicitor specialising in Crime and Extradition
Nadia joined Lansbury Worthington in 2012 after completing her Legal Practices Course and with a degree (LLB) in Criminology and Law. She is a fully accredited Police Station Representative and is currently working in the firm’s highly reputable Extradition Department. Nadia speaks fluent Bulgarian and is client focused in her work - valuable skills for the often complex and international flavour of the department’s work.
Nadia spent the first twelve months after joining the Lansbury Worthington working in the firm’s Magistrates’ Court Department where she developed experience of criminal cases from the early stages of a police investigation right through to trial before the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court.
Now with the Extradition Team, Nadia was most recently involved in the successful representation of a Slovakian woman facing extradition to Slovakia. Her case was sensitive as she was the sole carer for a disabled child. Nadia and the extradition team took on the client’s case and brought an appeal before to the Royal Courts of Justice. The appeal court overturned an earlier decision of the Magistrates’ Court thereby avoiding extradition and enabling the client to remain in the UK.
In her free time Nadia enjoys playing volleyball and cycling. She is fluent in Bulgarian, and also has conversational skill in Russian.
