R v Shahi, Sharma and Sharma

Conspiracy to defraud the Home Office. We represented the lead defendant who was accused, with others, of running an immigration agency, Univisas, the provided over 1000 visa applicants with false educational certificates (in conjunction with the London School of E - Commerce) and false wage slips and proof of earnings purportedly from Indian employers. It was alleged that the firm charged up to £3000 per false visa application and that considerable sums of money were transferred abroad. This was said to be the largest visa fraud ever perpetrated on the Home Office.
