Not Guilty Verdict in a six handed Attempted Murder trial

Catherine Mescall and Richard Gowthorpe have successfully secured a not guilty verdict for a Lansbury Worthington client during a six week trial before Isleworth Crown Court.

Our client along with his five co-defendants faced charges of Attempted Murder, “section 18” Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent and Violent Disorder. The case involved an alleged gang attack involving knives.  The Crown mounted a case against all of them based on CCTV footage, CCTV images, the ever-present cell site expert and DNA found on an item near the scene.

Three defendants were convicted of attempted murder and received long prison sentences. Our client, whose case was thoroughly prepared by his solicitor, Catherine Mescall, and who was skilfully represented by his advocate at trial, Richard Gowthorpe, was unanimously acquitted of all charges. He now plans to enrol at a local college to recommence his studies.
